First Roach Pond Dam Information

First Roach Pond Dam is a concrete rockfill gravity dam located in Piscataquis County, Maine.

The dam, which is on the Roach River, was primarily built for Hydroelectric purposes, but also serves for Fish and Wildlife Pond, Recreation and Flood Risk Reduction benefits.

The dam was designed by and commissioned in 1905 and is currently owned by IFW/State of Maine.
